Blind One

Driven by my fears
I pretended that I could see
As I stumbled around for years
Not knowing what could be

Vehicles for others to play
On the surface without powers
limited each and every day
Too dark to see light's flowers

I hid my pain behind the lies
Like so many before
Because of the fear in my eyes
I couldn’t step through the door

Then one day my eyes opened
it was time for me to see
The day had come for me to awake
To all that could be
